Kangen water is the Japanese trademarked name that when translated means "return to origin" and specifically describes water produced by the Enagic water ionizer, water electrolysis generating machines.Common names for similar types of water include: ionized water, structured water, hexagonal water, reduced water and the most common is Alkaline water.None of these names accurately describe Kangen water, as it is scientifically classified as Electrolyzed Reduced Water.A lot takes place during the electrolysis process which is difficult to break down in non-scientific terms, but basically, tap water is filtered first through the machine and then via electricity is restructured into smaller hexagonal water clusters as verified through Nuclear Magnetic Resonance, making the water more bioavailable and able to efficiently permeate the cell membrane.
